The Close of Another Great EMT Class

Ah, yes, another excellent EMT class successfully completes the didactic portion of the course and participates in Extrication Day!  Another great batch of responders are ready to rescue!  A special thank you to the fire and EMS professionals at Bellaire Fire Department for sharing their knowledge and expertise with our students – we appreciate you!

Parachute Consulting staff served holiday dinner and worked with the families at Bo’s Place. This experience was very rewarding for the Parachute team, and we are looking forward to helping out again in 2016!

Bo’s Place is a bereavement center offering grief support services to children, ages 3 to 18, and their families who have experienced the death of a child or an adult in their immediate family, as well as programs for grieving adults.

Operation Blue Santa

The Parachute staff participated in Operation Blue Santa in Galveston, Texas this year, and it was a fantastic experience.  Staff members and their children worked at Blue Santa headquarters, wrapping gifts and delivering them to folks with Galveston police officers.  We enjoyed contributing to this wonderful event with our friends from New York Life, and we plan to participate again next year!

7th Annual AIA Houston Gingerbread House Build Off

The Parachute Consulting Medical Team provided standby first aid at the Architecture Center’s 7th Annual Houston Gingerbread Build Off at City Hall’s Hermann Square. More than 30 teams competed using 100% edible materials to create their masterpieces, some of which included miniature versions of famous Houston landmarks. At the conclusion of the event our medics got to try their hand at building!
